Welcome to the Department of Nutrition Sciences(DNS) at the College of Health Sciences, member of QU health, Qatar University.
At the DNS, we prepare professionals in Nutrition, Dietetics and Food Science who support the health and wellness in Qatar and the region, and contribute to Qatar University’s vision to be a catalyst for sustainable health and socio-economic development. In line with Qatar University values, we are committed to and advocate for, excellence in teaching and research, integrity, academic freedom, diversity, innovation and social responsibility.
Our diverse and dedicated faculty teach and conduct research that address relevant local and regional challenges in Nutrition and Food Science, broadens knowledge, and actively contributes to addressing the needs and aspirations of society. Indeed, our department is dedicated to addressing the core needs of the country of Qatar in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030) and sustainable development goals.
DNS offers a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition and Dietetics, a Master of Science (MSc) in Nutrition, a Minor in Nutrition and a Minor in Food Safety. We are happy to share that our BSc program in Nutrition and Dietetics is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education of Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), reflecting our commitment to providing quality education to our students.”
