    Admission Requirement


    Admission to Qatar University

    • Meet the language requirements, or complete the foundation year, if required.
    • Minimum secondary school grade for final year of 70%.

    Admission to the Major

    • Students must satisfy QU requirements for declaring a major including the need to declare the major before completing 36 undergraduate credit hours.
    • Completion of 16 credit hours in general Science with minimum GPA of 2.00 including MEDI 101 (with minimum grade of D), PUBH151, CHEM 101/103 and MEDI 102.
    • Students are accepted twice a year (every spring and fall).
    • Degree evaluation is performed for the accepted students.
    • The Fall & Spring semester study plans are available online and from student's academic advisors.

    The professions

    • A career in Biomedical Sciences offers students a broad range of opportunities: Medical Technologist (MT): Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Immunology and Serology, Microbiology, Molecular and Human Genetics and Histopathology
    • Researcher/Scientist in multiple research settings
