Welcome to the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Center
I am honored to welcome you to the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Center at the College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University. We appreciate your passion for learning Arabic, and your desire to communicate with the rich Arab culture. We promise you a distinguished and high-quality educational experience.
Our center has an extended history since 1986, during which it has gone through many positive transformations that have made it one of the most important Arabic teaching centers in the region and in the world, and the most attractive for international students. The center’s positive reputation has encouraged many international universities, organizations and international institutions to send their students to study there on the base of a package of agreements and memorandums of understanding signed with Qatar University.
The center offers an intensive program that includes six language levels: Elementary I, Elementary II, Intermediate I, Intermediate II, Advanced I and Advanced II, in which international students (full-fee paying students or nominees from universities, organizations and institutions) enroll for two full terms – one language level per term.
The center also provides students with opportunities to immerse themselves in the rich Arab and Qatari culture through many events, extracurricular activities, and foreign trips organized and supervised by the center.
The Arabic Language Center includes exceptional faculty members with long experience in teaching Arabic to foreigners. Furthermore, our teachers have different national and cultural backgrounds.
My colleagues, staff, and I look forward to fulfilling your expectations and goals and welcome communicating with you at any time through the center’s website, via its email, or by visiting our office.
Dr. Alaa Ibrahim
