The College of Arts and Sciences has a long academic history and legacy, as this college sustains the scientific development in various fields of humanities, social sciences, literature, arts, languages, communication, and sciences, applied sciences. We will always be proud of this pioneering role, and value it. In our college, we confidently seek to consolidate knowledge, deepen awareness, and raise the ambition to strengthen the motivation for excellence. We also strive to keep pace with new trends in various fields of knowledge and transfer it to our students so that they achieve a high-quality education that meets the highest standards. We also face challenges by adopting innovative solutions.
We believe that every faculty member is a rich oasis for research and that every student is highly skilled and creative. The College works in accordance with this philosophy based on knowledge, research and consulting activities that serve the community and foster the University’s development. Therefore, every effort that seeks excellence and makes a difference is welcomed, supported and encouraged. From this perspective, the College, with all its departments, centers and academic programs, aspires to achieve the ultimate goal, which is the quality of the graduates and the quality of scientific research, especially in this expansive cognitive space, which is inspired by digitalization and governed by amazing acceleration and development that knows no boundaries.
In such environment, we must meet society’s expectations, and to be trustworthy, we must harness all capabilities to make these goals achievable. In order to accomplish our strategic objectives and goals, we have developed clear directions in establishing partnerships with many state institutions, organizations, and specialized centers, based on the principle that the college must keep pace with the rapid development of society. The College of Arts and Sciences is an integral component of Qatar University, and it participates, along with the other colleges, to implement the strategies that advance the name of the University and befit its distinguished position within the universities of the region. We are all one team working wholeheartedly to seize our opportunity among the world’s prestigious universities.
