Research

The faculty members of our department are actively engaged in various areas of impactful research to tackle local and global challenges. The department has been awarded several research grants funded by different sources including internal grants, local industries, and grants from Qata​r National Research Fund (QNRF). The research at the department involves several postdocs, research assistants, and research associates, in addition to our graduate students who are working on their MSc and PhD projects to address challenging problems. Furthermore, our undergraduate students have the chance to have research experience through research projects funded by Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP) from QNRF.

Our faculty members carry out collaborative research with local, regional, and international universities. We also have close ties with local governmental and industrial organizations, including QU Wireless Innovations Center (QUWIC), Al Jazeera Network, and Kahrama.
