    Protocol, Visits and Hospitality Section

    • The Section undertakes the direct responsibility of honoring, taking care and protocolizing the esteemed guests of the university and others who require care, ensuring the provision of all comforts, arranging visits program, securing hospitality, support, and assistance for various events and sectors within the university, as well as participating in local and international events to promote Qatar University.
    • Preparing lists of esteemed guests for the university's major events.
    • Providing protocol and hospitality support to all departments/sections during events attended by esteemed guests.
    • Conducting in-campus orientation tours for new university members, international and local guests, and school students.
    • Accompanying the university’s president in local and international events, and agreeing on all details related to the protocol.
    • Receiving visiting delegations and guests of the university’s president.
    • Participating in exhibitions and promoting the university to the local and international community.
    • Preparing and implementing school visits program, esteemed guests visits program, and the new employees’ welcome program.
    • Securing appropriate hotel reservations for university’s guests and coordinating transportation during their stay.
    • Securing bookings for events and meeting halls outside the university.

    The following are the tasks of the Protocol, Visits, and Hospitality Section:

    Protocol:

    • Carrying out all protocol and etiquette tasks for esteemed guests of the university at events organized by Qatar University.
    • Collaborating and coordinating with various entities and sectors in the state to organize and carry out reception and farewell ceremonies.
    • Providing support for protocol, visits, and hospitality tasks to all departments, colleges, and academic departments/sections of the university as needed, and for events attended by the university president and esteemed guests.
    • Preparing, coordinating, and updating a database of esteemed guests of the university.
    • Collecting and updating data related to official events at the university, colleges, and the state, to take official courtesy measures.
    • Carrying out purposeful initiatives during the academic year that serve esteemed guests of the university, departments, colleges, sectors, and university affiliates.
    • Supervising the provision and presentation of gifts, sunover ds, and medals to esteemed guests of the university.

    Visits:

    • Conducting on-campus orientation tours for new university guests and the targeted groups, to achieve integration with Qatar University and encourage the experience of university life.
    • Coordinating and cooperating with departments, sectors, and sections within the university to provide the best experience for the visits program.
    • Providing basic information about tours inside the university campus, and introductory information about Qatar University.
    • Documenting, archiving, and updating information about the visits program (visual - written - audio - etc.).
    • Preparing, collecting, and updating a database of the names of all targeted groups benefiting from the visits program.

    Hospitality:

    • Securing event and meeting room reservations outside the university.
    • Securing proper hotel reservations for university guests and coordinating transportation during their stay.
