    Budget Development and Management


    Budget Management Reposibilities

    Budget and Reporting Section in Finance Department is responsible in preparing, execution, monitoring and reporting the annual Qatar University budget in coordination with University sectors.

    Budget Management functions must involve:

    • Financial planning process, which is in general alignment with the University’s Strategic Plan.
    • The organization, development, management, and submission of a budget proposal to be reviewed and approved by president and, subsequently, by the State of Qatar’s Government.
    • Appropriate distribution and resource allocation among the Colleges, departments and units of the University.
    • Budget process is in alignment with the rules and regulations mentioned in the annual state budget preparation and implementation circular issued by the Ministry of Finance.
    • Management of budget monitoring processes.
    • Maintenance of a comprehensive and secure framework , guidelines and business systems to endorse, record, manage, and regulate the University’s financial transactions; and The counseling, assistance, and support to administrators in order to guarantee the prudent use of financial resources as the University’s mission is accomplished.
